South African media personality Unathi seemingly had a moment of good humour when she noted that she was the granddaughter of the late Nelson Mandela.
Nelson Mandela, also known as the Madiba, is a towering figure in South African politics even in death. He was one of the leaders of the ANC that led the liberating struggles against the apartheid government.
Expectedly, it is almost everyone;s dream to be associated with him one way or the other. Perhaps Unathi wanted to test the waters when she claimed a close relationship with the late icon.
In a clip shared by the controversial blogger Musa Khawula, she could be seen reintroducing herself as the granddaughter of Nelson Mandela, who served one term as president after his release from prison.
The clip amused many of her compatriots, who thought she was jesting with her remarks. They were like, there’s no way she is the daughter of the late Madiba. Well, you can check out the clip below and determine things for yourself.

By the way, Unathi had Mzansi’s social media buzzing recently, with fans speculating whether she was dating the music producer Prince Kaybee. This was after the two of them were seen on Prince Kaybee’s power bike and, much later in a group photo with the singer’s children.
