The rumour currently making the rounds online at the moment is that amapiano producer DJ Maphorisa and his estranged girlfriend Thuli Phongolo are back together.
While we cannot independently confirm if they have reignited their relationship, many South Africans are currently running with the rumour.
The two had a wonderful relationship until one evening when the “Gqom Wave” producer felt disrespected by Thuli’s action during groove. Allegedly, someone had offered Thuli Phongolo money for favours and she was up for it. DJ Maphorisa reportedly kept quiet until after his set.
Later that day, she had claimed that he hit her. Reportedly pressured by her mother, she had opened a case of assault agsint him. She later withdrew the case, but the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) felt the case should continue, so it pursued the case but ended up withdrawing also.
Amid the heat back then, POhori had reportedly taken back the car he bought for her. He had also shared a clip – just days ago – wondering how he has been unlucky with women.

The news of Thuli getting back with DJ Maphorisa had some South Africans wondering if she somehow likes toxicity given how she had called him out for assault previously.
