it’s been days since the 66th Grammy Awards. And the memories? Still fresh! It was a meeting of the who’s who in global pop. Not to be missed at the gathering were Tyla and her compatriot Boity. The one was nominated for a Grammy and the other wasn’t. But that’s by the way.
Tyla and Boity had time to themselves briefly and chatted and hugged each other happily like long-lost sisters. It was a moment of triumph not just for Tyla for the coup she pulled off with her “Water” song but for her compatriots as well.
Interstingly, Boity took to her Instagram page soon after and shared about their meeting on the red carpet. She congratulated her on the win, pointing out that she was deserving of it. Tyla is only 22 years old at the time of writing, which makes her the youngest and only female South African to have won the Grammy Award to date. Now, that’s a career-skyrocketing triumph that will please any artist.
