Tyla’s “The Voice” Performance Sparks Outrage

“Water” star Tyla sparks outrage with her performance on the finale of NBC’s “The Voice.”

South African singer and songwriter Tyla has been on top of the world since her massive hit song “Water” dominated the world. Tyla earned praise from fans for her music and live performances and has exceeded expectations every time.

Months back, she featured as a guest artist on “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon and delivered a stunning performance of water that earned praise from fans. After appearing on the Hey Neighbour Festival and doing the most, the singer announced that she would perform in the NBC “The Voice” finale over the weekend.

She ended up performing a mashup of her new song “Truth Or Dare” and her viral jam “Water.” Tyla and her dancers did a fantastic job on the performance, and the audience was heard cheering them on. However, her performance on the show sparked outrage. Some called it inappropriate that she was “twerking” in the live show.

debbie.taylor57 wrote, “You just ruined the show!!! THIS IS A FAMILY SHOW. So disgusting.” mrs_reusch also reacted, “Who is this? Never heard of her, and this was horrible, NBC really ruined ‘The Voice’ legacy with trash.” jadabada__ replied, “All for the unseasoned, uncultured ones in the back; she isn’t even twerking; it’s a traditional African dance.”
