A social media user has claimed in a post that an Uber driver raped her. The alleged rape victim goes by the name Aphiiwe Hashe.
At the time of writing this, the post had been liked ten thousand times, shared one thousand times, and has over one thousand comments.
In the comment section, one comment stands out – that of a man claiming to be the rapist and asking for accolades because he used a condom while raping her. South African disc jockey Lady Du shared part of the post, indicating she was shaken by it all.
In the comments to her post, South Africans are speaking their minds. While some are loudly condemning the rapist and his actions, some are wondering out loud the probability of the lady’s claims and her alleged victim admitting to his crime right there on social media.
While we’re unable to determine if the said lady was raped and if the man who raped her was actually the one in the comment section, we can tell you for free that South Africa has a pretty high case of rape and violence against women.
