It has been said that death is inevitable, which indeed it is. But then dying suddenly is what many people don’t anticipate and don’t wish – not on themselves and not on those they love. But life happens, and the slap of reality leaves people reeling.
Ukhozi FM presenter Bongani Mavuso is dead. He would have been 46 on Thursday.
The media personality died suddenly on Tuesday at a hospital in Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal. He was said to have taken ill and was rushed to the hospital, where he gave up the ghost.
Two days earlier, on Sunday, he had hosted a show called Ezangempelasonto. The following day, he had taken ill and was rushed to the hospital, where he, unfortunately, didn’t make it out alive. The media personality had taken ill sporadically until his death.
Recalling the event leading up to Bongani Mavuso’s death, his brother Majuba noted that when Bongani was rushed to the hospital, they didn’t expect his case to be serious. So his death came as a shock to them.
He recalled his brother had recovered from a previous illness and had even collapsed years back while broadcasting. And now it all ends for Bongani.
