Fans are thrilled that Unathi is back to her place on the radio.
There’s nothing better than being great at whatever you do. It would definitely bring you so much joy to you, and fans who wouldn’t want to change you for anyone. Many fade away the moment they decide to take a step back from the lime light, while many are always remembered.
For all the times she was on radio, Unathi was beloved. After staying off for about three years now, she’s still loved and her fans are ecstatic that she’s making her comeback. Just like a queen deserves, the popular on-air personality was picked up in a Maserati to her show (Morning Joy) at Kaya FM where she was greeted by Thabiso Sikwane and David O’Sullivan.
Nkayi was totally overwhelmed by all the love and she made sure to voice it out. She said,
It’s been a wonderful journey this past month, getting ready. I was in the Caribbean last week and bumping into so many South Africans and Afropolitan…saying ‘please don’t miss your flight, we really need to hear you on Monday”.
It’s been overwhelming to say the least and absolutely beautiful. I feel safe and it’s rare…it’s a rare feeling.
“It’s wonderful to know that I’m walking into a group of people who believe in excellence, live excellence, exudes excellence and are welcoming me with open arms. I said to Greg (Maluka) and Neil (Johnson) that all I want to do is make all of you proud and that’s all I want to do.”
