It has been said that nothing good comes easy, and Uncle Vinny would point to himself as a splendid example of that reality. The amapiano singer and dancer gave insight into this during an appearance on Podcast and Chill with MacG and Sol Phenduka.
During the sit-down, the songster dwelled into several aspects of his life, including how he was able to snag an interview with Family Tree boss and “Doc Sheleza” hitmaker Casssper Nyovest.
Vinny revealed that he was just 15 at the time and fought to get an interview with Cassper. He eventually got that but ended up not interviewing Cass himself because the radio station thought he wasn’t too fit to do the interview.
An old woman (his word) was used to do the interview instead. The decision provoked him so much that he gave the middle finger to the radio station and its people. He started doing his own thing solo and has not looked back since.
He also recalled that when he met Cassper, the rapper thought he was pretty young. But Vinny made it clear that he was out to grind and accomplish things. Well, he has been doing great things since then, and Mzansi is impressed.
