Uncle Waffles might be the most favored person in the SA music industry this year. She went from posting a viral video to performing with the world’s biggest stars and getting shout-outs from them.
Uncle Waffles recently appeared on stage with Nigerian Afrobeats queen Tiwa Savage. Tiwa unveiled the “Red Dragon” hitmaker as the surprise act at her sold-out show at the O2 Academy Brixton. This made the South African star the first female Amapiano Disc Jockey to perform there. What a milestone.
Fans have praised waffles for all the work she’s been putting in. She has performed on massive stages all over the world (despite criticism) and gotten praise from big stars, including Canadian pop and rap star Drake. We honestly cannot wait to see what she does next.
