Praise from a fellow, older and more accomplished musician means a lot to those who actually get them, and they almost always celebrate such. Examples of this abound across the music industry globally.
The latest example comes from none other that South African singer Usimamane whose song “Cheque” was recently praised by Cassper Nyovest.
Cassper was obviously impressed by the song, which a different musician pointed out is the only hip hop tune on the Apple Music Top 50 in South Africa. That would be a big win for any artist, of course.
Well, Cassper didn’t hold back, as he celebrated Usimamane in a post. Usimamane saw the same and reacted with gratitude, not only to Cassper but to DJ Zan (the musician who originally shared about the impact of “Cheque”). You can check out the post below.
By the way, “Cheque” was a hit on release and gave Usimamane a wider audience, not just in South Africa but internationally. On that count, the love Cassper Nyovest has shown the song may not come as a surprise.
Maybe that should encourage Usimamane to put in more work and drop more scorchers. For now, the songster is collaborating with another musician on a song that will be out shortly.
