Each Valentine’s Day, South Africans pause and wait for what Lerato Kganyago’s husband, Thami Ndlela, would do for her. Thami has the capacity to outdo himself each year, and South Africans have since picked him as the standard for Valentine’s Day gifts.
In the years since hitching up with the stunner, Thami had booked a whole stadium and had an artist sing for and entertain Lerato. Last year, he even bought a hotel for her, adding to the string of expensive gifts he had showered her with.
Such is the fame of Thami’s Valentine’s Day generosity towards his wife Lerao Kganyago that Somizi had joked last year that those who want to send Valentine’s gift should do so quickly because after Thami gifts his woman something, “it’s over” for everyone else, as Thami and no one else would be on the lips of South Africans.
It’s 2023 and a little over a week to Valentine’s Day. What does the year’s celebration hold for the couple? Of course, expectations are high that Thami would outdo past shows to his wife this year. Lerato Kganyago had shared a picture showing her during her DJ set, and a fan had reminded her that Valentine’s Day is just around the corner.
The message was clear enough. But Lerato says her man is busy.
