Nina Dobrev, best known for her feature in the hit series “Vampire Diaries” was hospitalized following a bike accident.
Fans of actress Nina Dobrev were concerned for her after the “Vampire Diaries” star posted before-and-after photos on Instagram of what appeared to show her being hospitalized with multiple injuries on Monday.
She captioned the post, “How it started vs how it’s going.”
USA Today reports that the first photo shows her on an e-bike, while the second shows the actress lying on a hospital bed with a brace on her left leg and another around her neck. She shared an update on her Instagram story that read,
“I’m OK but it’s going to be a long road of recovery ahead.”
She was hailed by her friend and business partner, Julianne Hough, who commented, “That’s my girl!” And “Obviously wouldn’t make jokes if you were not ok…”
The publication writes that Dobrev has been acting, directing and producing since “Vampire Diaries” ended years ago. In a 2021 interview with Flaunt Magazine, she said,
“Telling provocative, interesting, impactful stories for women by women, that’s always been at the core of a lot of the projects. When I first moved to the United States, there weren’t a lot of producing opportunities for me.”
“It took a while for me to get to where I am now, and part of it is me having the confidence and feeling like I can, but that was also because I didn’t see a lot of examples of it. At the beginning of my career, I didn’t have a lot of people to look up to in that world.”
Dobrev was born in Bulgaria and relocated with her family to Canada.
