Video: A Walk Through Trevor Noah’s Childhood Home

Trevor Noah has come a long way, a fact he is grateful for and openly acknowledges now and then.

From an obscure fellow in Mzansi, he’s risen to become one of the prominent faces in American comedy and culture. Just recently, he gave fans around the world glimpses of what his childhood home was like.

The award-winning media personality had taken MTV Cribs on a walk through his childhood home in Soweto. He showed the crew where they used to park their cars then.

Oh, hold it. There were no cars, but as the champ clarified, it was all ambition and dreams – and they would all go ahead to achieve them. He also led them through the toilet, informing them that some families have toilets within the house while others have them without. You can check out the video below.

Trevor Grew up under the apartheid government and witnessed its horrors. The tragedy he witnessed would inspire him to detail his experiences in the book Born A Crime.  Peeps may no longer be born a crime in the Rainbow Nation, but memories of the devastation caused by the racist government are still fresh.

The great news is that Trevor Noah and others are big successes today.
