South African disc jockey Thuli Phongolo was in Zimbabwe for a performance recently. But from a video currently making the rounds online, it appeared, she left the stage without performing her set as scheduled.
According to reports, there was a technical glitch during her set. However, it appeared she was annoyed by the glitch and didn’t want to continue after it. She picked up the microphone and apologised to her audience. Thereafter, she reportedly left.
The clip, shared by controversial blogger Musa Khawula, provoked mixed reactions from netizens, with some pointing out that she should have waited until the issue was rectified because she was playing from a universal serial bus (USB). You can check out the clip below.
Last we checked, the songstress had not responded to her critics, and it is doubtful she would respond – except she sees the spectre of great brand damage if she should remain quiet.
The songstress has had many dramatic episodes so far this year, the most infamous being her claim that her former lover DJ Maphorisa assaulted her. She had also instituted an assault case against him along the line. The case has since been withdrawn by the country’s National Prosecuting Authority (NPA).
