Zodwa Wabantu angered many in Botswana after she failed to show up for a performance. The controversial dancer had excited many in the country when she made it known she’ll be coming for a show.
Zodwa had been booked to perform at fellow muso Makhadzi’s live event but didn’t turn up ultimately because, according to her, she was ill.
In a recent post to Instagram, she had shared a clip of concertgoers reacting angrily and throwing bottles at the state because she was not there to perform. She apologized in her caption and stated that she was ill. You can check out the video below.

while some fans bought the story that she was ill, others would not accept it. A follower recalled a similar incident for years back when Zodwa Wabantu had been invited but she failed to show up at
at the time, people who had turned up for the show became violent when Zodwa Wabantu didn’t show up. Peace was only restored after she appeared in a video, letting the crowd know that the event organizers had not lied about her coming.
Last we check, she didn’t release a similar video to mollify the crowd. One can only hope things don’t get violent.
