Vusi Thembekwayo Claims Victory In Assault Case Charge

Vusi Thembekwayo has emerged victorious in the assault case charge leveled against him by his wife.

Popular businessman and motivational speaker Vusi Thembekwayo has been cleared of all charges of assault. In 2021, the businessman was arrested on charges of domestic abuse at the Douglasdale police station and later released on bail.

Vusi’s wife, Palesa Thembekwayo, accused him of slapping her several times and dragging her by her feet down the stairs. According to a recent report by Zimoja, The Randburg Magistrate Court found him not guilty of assault on Friday.

The court revealed that his wife, Palesa’s statement kept changing, and discrepancies were found. The magistrate later declared Vusi not guilty.

He told Zimoja,

“I am not an abuser; I needed the court to prove it. This has been one of the toughest times in my life and I am glad it is over.”

He also shared that he has suffered so much because of the accusations.

“The damage cannot be undone but I walk freely knowing that I have been cleared. It has been more than a year of back-and-forth travels, but it was worth me fighting to prove I am innocent, for my kids, and for the image that I have worked so hard to build.”
