Wale Reveals Pop Artists Only Work With Rappers Unless They’re In The Top40 Or White

Wale says pop artists only work with rapper is they're in the top 40 or white

Wale says that pop artists only work with rappers if they’re charting in the top 40 or white.

Wale is spilling some truth and he’s challenging you to prove him wrong. The rapper has been doing quite well lately, and it’s been impressive to see. Known years back for the single “Chillin” featuring mother monster, Lady Gaga, we’d surely love to see it happen again.

A fan recently tweeted at the rapper asking him to record another song with Gaga but his reply was eye opening. He revealed that pop artists only work with rappers if they’re charting in the top 40 or white.

He said,

Y’all got to understand these fantasy features work two ways,” Wale responded. “Pop people don’t wanna work wit us unless we sittin in that top 40 or unless it’s a white rapper .. prove me wrong.”

The first collaboration between Gaga and Wale happened after they were introduced by the latter’s friend and mentor, Mark Ronson. The song was featured on Wale’s “Attention Deficit” album in 2009. This definitely means there might never be a second collaboration between the two stars.
