A warrant of arrest has been issued for Mzansi singer Zahara for failing to appear in court.
Zahara is said to be owing the South Africa Revenue Service (SARS) via her company Zahara Trading (Pty). A Johannesburg commercial crimes court in the Palm Ridge magistrate’s court had issued the warrant.
About the arrest warrant, the celebrated singer has been silent.
By the way, the court’s report of the arrest warrant against her has elicited mixed reactions on social media, with some of her fans insisting she should never have allowed the case to deteriorate to the point of an arrest warrant because it would be terrible for her brand.
It remains to be seen how Zahara will navigate this minor crisis and come out of it stronger. She recently snapped a recording deal with Warner Music and released a new body of work. At the time, she was said to have fired her manager and made him leave her house, reports she neither confirmed nor denied.
