South African has been in turmoil, with many looting shops and destroying properties, following the arrest of the former president Jacob Zuma. The former president had turned himself in after he was convicted to serve a 15-month jail term for contempt of court.

His turning himself in follows a brief stand off with authorities, with his core followers threatening war of he should arrested.
