Watch Black Motion On NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert

South African boy band Black Motion has just been announced as the latest addition to the NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert, an event of global appeal.

An excited Black Motion had taken to Instagram to inform fans of their inclusion in the concert, noting that after 10 years as a group, their musical journey continues, and that they are proud to be part of the concert.

The responses to the post indicated that fans were just as excited as the Soshanguve duo of Thabo “Smol” Mabogwane and Bongani “DJ Murdah Bongz” Mohosana. See the clip below.

By the way, other South Africans had also been featured on the Tiny Desk Concert, including Msaki, Black Coffee, Prince Kaybee and Nasty C. Msaki has had the most appearance on the concert, though – for a record three times.

Msaki joins Black Motion on the group’s ” Marry Me,” which was part of their 2020 album “The Healers: The Last Chapter.”

Black Motion is one of the most visible South African bands. The group has got several numbers to its name, including “Ven pa ka”
