Former Idols SA contestant Brandon Dhludhlu has treated fans to a cover of Vanessa Carlton’s 2001 hit “A Thousand Miles.”

The songster shared his cover on Instagram while expressing the hope the cover brings memories to his fans and makes them smile like it did to him.

Vanessa Lee Carlton is an American pianist, singer and songwriter. Born in Milford, Pennsylvania, Vanessa studied at the School of American Ballet. “Ordinary Day” and “A Thousand Miles,” which Brandon Dhludhlu made a cover of, are among her notable numbers. She’s currently in the vanguard to end gun violence in the United States.

Brandon Dhludhlu was one of the outstanding figures on the Idols SA circuit. He may not have won, but he has successfully embedded himself in the consciousness of music lovers across South Africa and clinched a recording deal with Oskido’s Kalawa Jazmee.

This isn’t the songster’s first cover, nor is it the first cover by an Idols SA contestant.
