SA Hip Hop star Cassper Nyovest performed the song “Monate Mpolaye” at his friend DJ Sumbody’s Funeral service.
Last Sunday, exactly a week ago, Mzansi star and businessman DJ Sumbody and his driver were shot dead in a riddle of bullets at Woodmead. The shocking news spread like wildfire across Mzansi, and fans could not believe it.
Social media has since been flooded with tributes to the late DJ. Most have also made it a priority to send love to his friend Cassper Nyovest who he collaborated on a number of songs with. Cass also shared on social media that he could not believe the news.
Sumbody’s Funeral service was held yesterday, on Saturday, and the tears could not stop flowing. Cass, emotional about his friend’s passing, took the stage and gave a performance of his song “Monate Mpolaye.” It was a collaboration with Sumbody, Thebe, and Vettis.
