Mzansi star, Kabza De Small is known by all as the King of Amapiano. The talented hit maker has also cemented his place with many hits, including the record-breaking album “I Am The King of Amapiano; Sweet & Dust”.
In a recently shared video, he is seen explaining to veteran DJ, Oskido how Amapiano started. He revealed that the sub-genre basically started out when producers began slowing down the tempo of songs so the bass sounded different. He further explained that, at first, producers worked by making remixes until Mdu aka TRP figured out log drum.
He continued stating that he ran with it, after which it became what Amapiano was about. In his own words, Amapiano is basically log drum, and Mdu is credited for figuring it out. An obviously impressed Oskido further explained that it is what making music is about.
