There’s a little controversy brewing in South Africa’s podcast universe over the firing of the sound engineer of the Podacr and Chill With MacG, AyawProw.
Some sources claim that MacG had become jealous of his employees who were beginning to outshine him on the show, including AyaProw. The sound engineer had reportedly invited his boss to his album listening session, but he failed to show up.
MacG’s absence from the show was said to have hurt the sound engineer deeply, but he decided to plod on.
However, contrary to what was claimed as the reason for the sacking of AyaProw, MacG claimed in an interview on his own podcast (interviewed by Sol Phenduka and Ghost Lady) that the sound engineer was actually on his last warning, having made other infractions earlier.
According to the podcast host, the sound engineer’s actions had led to late productions and in his latest excuse, he claimed that there had been a death in the family. However, he was monitoring AyaProw’s status, and it showed a different story -0 nothing about death but AyaProw having a listening session for his new album.
That did not sit well with him, so he made the decision to relieve the sound engineer of his post.
