For the weekend, the show had the likes of Makhadzi, Mthandazo Gatya, Big Zulu, Pabi Cooper and Boohle perform for viewers. It was a day of good music and a good time for those who watched, as artists from different genres wowed in song.
Makhadzi, fresh from treating fans to a new body of work dubbed “African Queen,” affirmed her position as one of the most entertaining figures in South African music by her performance on the idols South Africa circuit.
Big Zulu evinced similar energy. The songster recently released a body of work dubbed “Ichwane Lenyoka,” which distills his childhood, parenting, and love, among other themes.
By the way, Idols SA recently dropped Somizi as a judge following allegations of abuse leveled against him by his estranged husband Mohale.
