Not long ago, South African singer Mthandazo Gatya shared a clip of him him vibing to a John Legend song which he said he gave an African touch. He then harped on how his “Nervous” duet with the American had gone viral on TikTok.
The American saw what he did and reached out – as Mthandazo Gatya acknowledged in a tweet.

The American was recently in South Africa and invited the muso on stage. The two pumped hands and shared a hug. The music followed.
Mzansi was moved by the gesture and they congratulated Mthandazo Gatya while also thanking the American for giving their compatriot a chance to work with him. It was a big theme on Twitter, and even the likes of Anele Mdoda commented on it,
