Watch Ndlovu Youth Choir’s Cover For “Ghanama” by Makhadzi & Prince Benza

South African band Ndlovu Youth Choir has just done a cover for “Ghanama,” a song by fellow South Africans Makhadzi and Prince Benza, indirectly endorsing the trending hit.

In a post to Instagram, the group shared their performance of the song, letting everyone know they were joining the #GhanamaChallenge called by Makhadzi.

Makkhadzi was impressed by the performance of the group and said in a tweet that the group nailed it, while urging her fans to keep streaming the song. At the time of writing this report, the song has been streamed over 1 million times on YouTube.

By the way, even before the song was released, it made waves when a teaser popped online. This probably led to the conflict between King Monada, who was on the original song, and Makhadzi. To avoid more drama, Makhadzi had removed King Monada’s name from the song.

For his part, King Monada had released a different version of the song, giving Makhadzi’s number to another singer. His version hasn’t been as successful as Makhadzi’s, though,
