Watch Nhlanhla Lux Talk AKA’s Killing & The Spirit Among Rappers At AKA’s House

Operation Dudula leader Nhlanhla Lux has spoken out about the killing of Kiernan “AKA” Frobes, noting that the muso’s death was a big loss for South African hip hop and the Rainbow Nation in general.

Lux was one of those who showed up at AKA’s home even as preparations are underway for the rapper’s memorial and funeral. Speaking at the home, the controversial Operation Dudula leader lamented how crime had taken over the country thanks to the current leadership.

He also noted that those who showed up at AKA’s home were even too pained to communicate and struggle to express themselves because there is a heaviness in their hearts.

AKA was gunned down alongside his former manager Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane just outside Wish restaurant on Florida Road in Durban. The gunmen were reportedly involved in the shooting that claimed his life. The news of his death reverberated across South Africa and continues to generate conversation in the country.

While investigations are underway, theories have been flying about as to what actually happened on February 10, when he was felled by a point-blank shot to the head. Some tweeps are claiming that CCTV footage suggests members of his crew might be privy to the murder. Some said to allow the investigators to do their work.
