Watch Shekhinah Talk Trouble In Paradise, Her Relationship With Artistes, Her Art, and More

Rose Fest Pioneer Shekhinah recently released a body of work titled “Trouble in Paradise.” This compilation, her fear of becoming independent as an artiste, as well as her working with new people, formed part of the subjects of her recent interview with Slikour.

She described herself as “dramatic,” confessing that her “paradise” – or what she thought it is – is no longer the same.

Apparently at the outset, she was making music when she was hungry to be seen and heard. This was the era of her commercially successful “Rose Gold” album.

Things are different now, with the release of her “Trouble in Paradise” project. Now music is more like therapy for her. According to the songstress, who admitted to several heartbreaks in her life, music at this point is also her energy and her art.

There appears to have been a revolution in the way she relates to her art

She’s in an era of elevated consciousness and apparently loving it. It’s unknown what her next leap will be, but we’re watching.
