The weekend was a guest on the Jimmy Kimmel live show on Wednesday the 22nd of January 2020. The artiste made a guest appearance on the show to perform his new single “Blinding Lights”. He started his performance with a fake black eye and a bleeding nose, maybe due to the run in with Adam Sandler at the New York Club.
The Weekend had shared the official music video of the “Blinding Lights” earlier in the week, this he did along with his other single titled “Heartless” which he released at the end of 2019. Starboy might be preparing to drop another album as he last had one titled “Starboy” in 2016
The performance at the Jimmy Kimmel show wasn’t quite as brutal as that of the video but it did deliver a vibe that was cinematic, which included a camera-flip that saw his performance turn upside down. The official video of the “Blinding Lights” has already gotten more than 330 million streams since its release at the end of 2019. It has also gone as far as reaching number 11 on the Billboard hot 100.
