It has been said that there is nowhere like home. And for Thuso Mbedu the Lure of home was so strong that she packed her bags and left the United States for South Africa.
It was a surprise homecoming, but then Mzansi was more than pleased to welcome one of its own.
It may have been a surprise visit to South Africa, but the Emmy Awards nominee was quick to let her fans know she was back in South Africa. She shared a photo of herself posing on the road leading to her home. She looked happy and contented.
The comment section of the post was deluged with comments by fans welcoming her back to Mzansi after repping the Rainbow Nation abroad.
She also shared another post, a video, to the platform. It showed her arrival in the early hours and how surprised her family was to see her. You can check out the video below.
Thuso Mbedu is having a good run internationally. Besides a sterling performance on the set of The Underground Railway, she had recently worked with Rihanna for her Savage X Fenty brand.
It can’t be determined how Thuso Mbedu will stay before heading back to the States. But we’ll keep you in the loop.
