The 16th season of reality television show Idols SA ended over the weekend with Zama as the winner. She had beat Mr Music to the crown in a grand finale that elicited great emotions from the singers as well as the audience.
In keeping to the tradition of having past winners as well as notable voices in South African music perform as well, the show organizers brought on stage some of Mzansi’s finest musos, including Vusi Nova, Somizi, DJ Zinhle and Loyiso.
Somizi especially shocked many with his performance of “Ntandane,” his latest single featuring his friend Vusi Nova. Many who had not seen him perform so beautifully were gobsmacked and applauded him noisily. In fact, he trended over his performance at the grand finale.
DJ Zinhle’s performance was just as electrifying. She wowed many with her soulful energy, and when she was done, the audience was ecstatic.
Also on hand to treat the audience to a soulful rendition was Loyiso. The songster was simply magical spitting his bars. In fact, during his performance, some members of the audience sang along with him. He was that good.
