Here is why Top Gun Maverick star Tom Cruise is banned from buying a Bugatti.
Some would read this and wonder why Bugatti is strict, but you must know that many brands do not take lightly mistakes. Cruise is undeniably one of the most successful actors in the business, and he owns a collection of sophisticated cars, including a Buick Roadmaster, Ford Mustang Saleen S281, Chevrolet Chevelle SS, Chevrolet Corvette C1, and the Bugatti Veyron, according to Indy100.
The star showed up to the premiere of Mission: Impossible III at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood in 2006, driving the Bugatti himself. He is said to have purchased the car the year prior for an estimated $1.9 million.
However, he struggled to open the passenger side of the door, and the company did not find it funny. According to reports, he was ‘blacklisted’ from buying a Bugatti after that.
