Will Smith Alleged Yet to Apologise to Chris Rock after Oscar Slap

In what may strike many people as a new angle to the controversy surrounding Will Smith slapping the comedian Chris Rock during the Oscars this year, it has emerged that he’s yet to personally apologise to the comedian.

Chris Rock was anchoring the Academy Awards this year when he made a joke about Will Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett’s alopecia. He likened her to the GI Jone character in a popular movie.

Irritated by it all, Will stormed the stage and smacked him in the face. Back at his seat, he had yelled at the comedian to shut his mouth and not talk rubbish about his wife.

He’d publicly apologised soon after, noting he’d accept whatever punishment the Oscars would serve him for his actions. The Academy Awards banned him for ten years.

The celebrated movie icon travelled to India in what he described as part of the work on himself to ensure he doesn’t allow violence to overtake reason again.

Some members of the public are, however, cynical about the trip and the reason for it because, according to them, he’s yet to apologise to Chris Rock.

It’ll be interesting to see if he’ll make a u-turn and finally apologise to Chris.
