Xavi Fumes Over Officiating & His Team’s Mistakes Following Barcelona’s Draw With Granada

FC Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez was unimpressed with his team’s latest out and he had no qualms calling out the team for it, as well as officials over an offside.

The job of a manager is a pressure-laden one, as club bosses are always looking for results, with some lacking the patience to stick with coaches after consistent losses. So coaches are on the hot seat all the time – under pressure to perform.

Barcelona clashed with Granada on Sunday, with Camp Nou falling two goals behind in under 3 minutes. But the Barca side put up a plucky defence and eventually snagged two goals as well, leading to a 2-2 affair.

At the final whistle, the scores remained the same 2-2, something that had not gone down well with Xavi, who felt that his team could have done better. He criticised his players, as well as the poor officiating, which he blamed for his team not taking more points.

With the current result, Barca is three points behind league leaders Real Madrid. Xavi expressing his frustrations openly is actually nothing new in football. It’s almost traditional with most coaches. Maybe after the venting comes inner peace. This is football as many know it.
