The Ubunifu Space is a London-based YouTube channel which records its travel a series of documentaries. It has already released four out of its eight-part docuseries, going with the hashtag #UbuOnTour.
The current episode of the tour begins with Sadé, Monique, Bryan, Ian, and David making the journey from Heathrow in Lodon to the heart of the heart of Johannesburg (OR Tambo International airport).
The episode features several notable voices in South African music, including Shekhinah, Sho Madjozi DJ Maphorisa, Riky Rick, and Moonchild Sanelly. Cape Town’s YoungstaCPTis also part of the series. He led a guided tour of his town.
For those not conversant with South Africa – its sites, sounds, people and life – the current episode of the docuseries might come in as a fine introduction. It shows the Rainbow Nation in its many manifestations.
