On June 3rd, Iconic Mzansi musician, Yvonne Chaka Chaka announced the painful death of one of her band members. She took to her Instagram page to share a sad photo of herself alongside photos of her performing with the late backup singer who she also referred to as Godfather.
Fans of the singer took to her comments section to sympathize with her. She seemed to be really close to him as the photos she shared showed they go way back. RIP Godfather.

The singer has also spoken out about how much the COVID-19 pandemic has affected creatives. She said the pandemic “has put everything into a standstill”.
