Yvonne Chaka Chaka shares post paying tribute to the late Miriam Makeba.
As they say, the memories of the past always stay us. It doesn’t really matter what happens, the memories we hold on to remind us of the beautiful times we had.
In a recent post shared by Yvonne Chaka Chaka on Monday, November 9, she paid tribute to her friend, the late Miriam Makeba on the 12th anniversary of her death. According to her, it may have been 12 years since she passed but her memories of the things she did in the past will always exist and be remembered.
The legendary Miriam Makeba died of a heart attack after a concert in Italy on November 9, 2008. She was known for her activism and how much she spoke for the people through her music. She became the first black South African musician to gain international fame, and was hated by white minority leaders. She will forever be remembered.
