Mzansi singer and songwriter, Zahara slams allegations of alcohol addiction, and says the media turned her to alcohol. Since Mzansi was introduced to the talent that is Zahara, the singer and songwriter has risen to the top where she belongs. However, her career has been challenged by accusations of substance abuse which has sort of marred her image.
She appeared in a recent episode of Mac G’s “Podcast And Chill” where she addressed the allegations. The “Lengoma” star maintained that she did not turn to alcohol, and accused the media of pushing her to it. She also hinted that no one has any evidence that she is an actual alcoholic.
Zahara also revealed that she only started taking alcohol at the age of 24. In her opinion, what she does in her house should be her business, and no one else’s right to question. She also spoke on her journey so far in the industry.
“I did not turn to alcohol, you guys turned me to alcohol. Let me tell you something, you don’t even have a picture of me in the club with a glass [in my hand] . They always say ‘sources say’ so I want to ask who is that source.”
