Zahara Desperately In Need Of Financial Aid

It’s been a difficult period for South African singer Zahara, with Nedbank about to auction her house over an unpaid debt. Now, she’s open to receiving help from members of the public.

According to her, she’s got designer clothes, some of which she’s only worn once. And she’s open to selling some of those clothes to raise funds to clear her debt.

She was also reported to have said that whatever sum members of the public are willing to offer to aid her and prevent her from losing her house is welcome, even if it’s R100.

Amid her travails, some of her fans have suggested how she might raise funds and quickly, too. Some suggested she go on tour, adding that they would readily buy the tickets even if all she had to do during the trip was sing old songs.

Some critics used the opportunity o mock her and ask her what happened to all the money she made from her music.

Before the plan to auction her house became public knowledge, there had been a break-in at her apartment, and several of her award plaques were stolen from the shelf where she kept them. A distressed Zahara had asked the thieves to return them. But nothing has happened since then.
