Zakes Bantwini Donates To Thousands Of Families

Mzansi muso Zakes Bantwini has donated part of the royalties from his music to COVID-19 relief in South Africa.

The songster, who is married to Nandi Madida, reached out to people in collaboration with Lauv. He would write later that he and Lauv were using music to eradicate poverty in PE (Port Elizabeth).

Ubuntu Pathways is a charity supporting two thousand families in the PE area. Zakes Bantwini visited the charity earlier this year. With the coronavirus biting hard in the country, the songster has decided to donate part of his music royalties to the charity.

Specifically, the royalties donated is from his remix of Lauv’s song “Modern Loneliness.” Commenting on why he decided to help out, the songster noted that it was an honour to play to role in the work Ubuntu Pathways is doing.

Also, he thanked Lauv, an American musician, for the opportunity to remix his song “Modern Loneliness.” He especially appreciates Lauv’s independent spirit and the impact that spirit has made socially.

By the way, Zakes Bantwini is gearing to release a new song titled “Mamatheka” in collaboration with Prince Bulo.
