South African media personality Zimiphi Biyela, popularly known as Zimdollar, has reacted to the assumption that her taxis were torched as a result of the feud she had with the police authorities recently.
Reacting to that view, the Ukhozi FM presenter was totally dismissive. according to her, her taxis were torched at Eshowe and Emandeni, both in KwaZulu-Natal, due to taxi violence. She ruled out the possibility of it being the result of her spat with the police authorities.
Since she made this known several South Africans have praised her for her candour and for not trying to blame those who she had a spat with to score a point.
The media personality recently apologised to the police authorities and to the general public after previously denouncing the police, an action which police minister Bheki Cwlw insinuated led to the death of one of the cops.
By her own account, the destruction of her minibuses was “connected to the taxi violence over the route between eMpangeni and Buccanana.” While she is sad about the whole destruction, she is looking forward to what the authorities will unearth, besides exposing those who were behind the violence and destruction.
