Zizi Kodwa Under Fire Over Ministry’s Support For Kelly Khumalo’s Upcoming Show Amid Senzo Meyiwa Murder Trial

South Africans are furious with the Department of Arts and Culture over its sponsorship of the upcoming concert of the singer Kelly Khumalo, citing that she is currently under investigation for the murder of the former Bafana Bafana goalie Senzo Meyiwa.

Senzo was Kelly Khumalo’s boyfriend at the time he was killed. The place of death, interestingly, was Kelly Khumalo’s family home in Vosloorus in 2014. She has denied any involvement in Senzo’s death, claiming at one point at he is the only man she had ever loved.

Well, for whatever reason, the South African Department of Arts and Culture thought it okay to support the singer’s Gospel Explosion concert which takes place on the 26th of August. But South Africans are not having it.

They poured into social media platforms with criticisms of the decision to sponsor her upcoming show. As far as most of them are concerned, the decision shows that the department has no respect for South Africans.

Kelly Khumalo has sporadically faced serious public scrutiny over Senzo Meyiwa’s death because she was in the same and so was her sister Xansie and their mother when the goalie was killed.

It remains to be seen if the government will reconsider its decision.
