Zola 7 Details His Illness in Sit-Down With MacG

Celebrated Kwaito artiste Zola 7 has opened up about his illness, stating that at some point those close to him feared he was going to die.

Zola 7 detailed his illness and more during a recent sit-down with MacG on the set of Podcast and Chill. According to the songster who is also celebrated on radio, he started suffering from epilepsy three years ago and now takes daily medications to just get by.

The illness made him crash his car at some point in an accident that was fatal but not to him. Because of the attacks, he said he has stopped driving to avoid another accident, which might be worse than the one before it.

Also, as a result of his illness, he admitted he had lost weight. He also stated that it affected his career, taking him away from the limelight.

He confessed that during the record of “BongiNkosi” song with Family Tree rapper Cassper Nyovest last year, he was actually very sick but kept it from Cass and the crew. After about 25 cuts, they finally got something worth sharing to the world. Zola 7 fought to look normal throughout recording.
