Lady Zamar, Lira & Zahara Looses To Zonke On Social Media Wedding Performance Poll

Zonke beats other female artists in a social media poll.

South African singer, Zonke, is an artist with a sea of dedicated fans. She has proven this in a recent poll conducted on Twitter. A Twitter user had asked fans to choose their favourite, amongst Lady Zamar, Zonke, and Zahara.

Surprisingly, Zonke topped the poll with 62% percent of users saying that they will choose Zonke over others to perform at their wedding ceremony. Lira is second on the poll with 15.5% votes, followed by Lady Zamar with 13.1% and Zahara who recently bagged an acting gig takes the bottom position with 9.3%

Being the preferred performer at a wedding ceremony means Zonke is a better fit for such ceremony and does not necessarily mean she is a better or bigger singer than other singers on the list. This could also mean that she has more loyal fans that would ignore everything else about the artist and just pick her over others.

Zonke has released highly rated love and harmony themed songs in the past including Jik Izinto, Feelings, Stay Now, Tonight and many more. She also released a whole album titled “L.O.V.E” which could be a reason why fans perceived her as the preferred singer at a wedding ceremony.

The other female artists, Lady Zamar, Lira and Zahara, are also performing remarkably in the South African music scene. They have also in the past released love themed songs that could perfectly fit for a wedding gig, especially Lady Zamar who has been consistent in putting out music.

Zonke Dikana, professionally known as Zonke, is a talented and skilled songstress and record producer whose stories hardly make it to blog headlines. Even with that, the South African singer is remarkable for her incredible talent for singing and skill of song-writing.

She rose to stardom in 2011 after releasing her third album, ‘Ina Ethe.’ Ina Ethe bagged a nomination at the 18th South African Music Awards.  She also earned a spot in Channel O’s list of ‘Africa’s Top 10 Female Singing Sensation,’ following the release of ‘Give and Take Live’ in 2013. She has also bagged nomination at the 22nd South African Music Awards and the 15th Metro FM Music Awards.
