See the cast of one of Mzansi’s most popular shows, “House Of Zwide.”
You may be the only one not watching “House Of Zwide.” A lot of us are, and we are being entertained by it. “House of Zwide” first official trailer was released on 24 June 2021. The show premiered a month later, on 19 July 2021.
The show is centered around a talented young township girl named Ona who dreams of being a fashion designer. She is described as an ambitious independent woman. She lands an internship at the famous talent brand “House Of Zwide.” Ona rejoices, believing that everything has changed for her good. She has no idea that the deep secrets of her past are buried in the House of Zwide.
Later in the show, she not only discovers that she is the daughter of the man who runs the fashion brand but also that the man she has known and adored as a father was the hitman who killed her mother. She is left with two choices; revenge or her destiny.
Since the show premiered in July 2021, it has been a hit among viewers. It has also gained praise on social media, where the recently aired episodes are discussed.
“House Of Zwide” also boasts an impressive cast who pulled off their roles in the best ways. They include;
Vusi Kunene
Vusi is a famous South African actor who plays Funani Zwide on the show. Vusi turned 56 on 12 April 2022. Vusi not only plays the owner and founder of House Of Zwide on the show, but he is also the show’s creator. His performance as Funani Zwide has earned him so much praise.
Winnie Ntshaba
South African actress Winnie Ntshaba plays the role of Faith Zwide. Faith Zwide is the wife of Funani Zwide and the co-founder of the fashion house. Winnie was born on 1 September 1975. She started acting in 2004 and has since starred in his South African series, including the local drama “Jozi Streets.”
Jeffery Sekele
Actor Jeffery Sekele was born in Leeufontein, Limpopo, in August 1973. Sekele began his professional acting in 1999 after graduating from Technikon Pretoria. He plays Isaac Molapo, a gangster and Umkhonto we Sizwe veteran. His perfect depiction of the role has made him a fan favourite. Jeffery has also appeared and acted in several series, such as Muvhango, Strike Back, End Game, and Jozi-H.
Khaya Dladla
Khaya Dladla was born in Umlazi, South Africa, on 3 April 1990. She started out performing in theatre when she was nine years old. Khaya’s first role in theatre was in the series, Uzalo. She played a beautician GC. Khaya plays Funani’s friend Lazarus in “House of Zwide.”
Nefisa Mkhabela
20-year-old actress Nefisa Mkhabela is one of the youngest actors in the House of Zwide cast. She plays the role of Ona Molapo in the series, a role she has done so much justice to. Nefisa began her acting journey in 2018 when she bagged a role in the Unmarried drama series.
Shalate Sekhabi
Actress and model Shalate Sekhabi was born in 2000 in Mafikeng, South Africa. She graduated from the University of Witwatersrand with a Bachelor’s degree in film and production in 2019. Shalate plays Shoki in the House of Zwide drama series.
Noah Cohen
Noah Cohen is an American filmmaker and actor who plays the ruthless businessman De Villiers in the House of Zwide series. After graduating with a BFA in Theatre and Film Productions from the University of British Columbia in 2016, Noah relocated to South Africa.
