Our focus shifts to Hypertek Boss Innocent Idibia popularly known as 2baba. 2baba is also known as one of the most bankable performing music artistes in Africa with over two decades of trailblazing and topping the charts in his industry and still remaining a formidable force in the Nigerian Music Industry.  2baba released his debut solo album “Face to Face” in 2004 which established him as a viable solo artist. This was followed by the release of his second album “Grace to grace”  in 2006, The “Unstoppable” in 2008 and later released an international edition in 2010.Upon release of these albums 2baba has won himself awards and recognition both at home and abroad. Remember 2baba  just celebrated his 20 years of prominence in the Nigerian Music Industry and has been dropping hits back to back for years. We take a closer look now at some of his best songs. 1.OYI
This wonderful song saw the Hypertek Boss team up with his brother and colleague “Hi-Idibia”. Pouring out perfect life advice about striving so hard to do anything that makes us happy and also do away with relationships that stresses us . The hit song served a powerful visual which was shot at a private beach featuring dance steps from the famous dancer poco lee and was directed by Unlimited LA. Check it out.

2. GAGA SHUFFLE
This song is one of 2baba’s hottest songs of recent. As he deviates from his normal style and took on the gaga rhythm. From the video and Song lyrics “Gaga Shuffle” appears to be both a comical dance step feature and tribute to a friend called “Larry Gaga” who he also featured on the track with various cameo appearances from who is who in the Music industry. From the amount of cameo appearances in visuals and street credibility it maintained the song proved to be a hit. The song featured the famous Larry Gaga and was a groove from beginning to the end. 3. AFRICAN QUEEN
This is a major song that put 2baba on the World Map. The visual of the song which featured appearances from his wife Annie idibia became an all time favorite and was also featured as a soundtrack for the movie “Phat Girls” which was released internationally and sold over 7 million dollars at the box office in 2006. The song which was from his debut album “Face 2 Face”  sold millions of copy in Nigeria, Africa and all over the World. check it out

4. AMAKA
This song saw 2baba team up with DMW Peruzzi, which is not only the hottest jam at the moment but also a street anthem. In the song they sang about the common frustration encountered by men in search of moments of intimacy with the opposite sex. The lady here symbolized by “Amaka” dissappointed  by not showing up as would be expected. The song played well over a mixing from infetious speroaoch beatz production who cook a mid tempo beat on the jam. 5. IFANA IBAGA

This was one of his breakthrough songs after his split from the pop group Plantashun Boiz with colleagues Black Face and Faze. The song in the “Face 2 Face” album was released under the Kennis Music record label in 2004. The track became a local hit and ruled the airwaves in 2004 with  the video also enjoying massive viewing  and has since remained an all time favorite. Check it out

6. IF LOVE IS A CRIME
This song was one of the tracks from his sophomore album “grass to grace” released in 2006 and is a lovers favorite. The song came out at a moment where he officially discontinued the use of the name tuface and selected 2baba as his stage name. The song spoke about a major love interest he was willing to go to the extreme for and lines like “if love is a crime am willing to dey go jail” he rendered the lyrics with his one of a kind voice and an interesting visual. check it out

7.ONLY ME
This song proved once again the musical prowess of the Hypertek Boss himself. The song from his third Studio album released in 2008 under his record label “Hypertek Entertainment, The album was produced by J’sleek and had the likes of American RnB singer Rkelly performing a track on the album. This particular track turned out to be a major street anthem and we are still loving it. check it out

8. IMPLICATION
The song which served as a lead single off his “Unstoppable 2” album in 2009 is a great track because of the rhythmic party vibes with a powerful visual  and became a top notch club . The song coming after a series of both physical and media attack towards his person became a hit track automatically and we are still loving it. Check the wonderful track it out

9. IHENEME
This song was a track in his “away and beyond” album  released in 2012 with visuals directed by Clarence Peters, which featured a lot of cameo appearances and topnotch video vixens. 2baba brought out his playful qualities with his play on words and classic rhythm. The song which featured powerful vocals from Waje. The thoughful song that talks a lot on betrayal. In these days of friendship in which the ones that we rely on and trust the most are probably the ones that tend to drag one down. It is a simple but strong song with meaningful words and vital message. In talking about the song which served as a follow up on his previous hit tracks, 2Baba said it came from a place in his heart that doesn’t open often.
