South African hip hop ace Big Zulu croons “iStradi” alongside pal and compatriot PRO.
From the look of things, the song was recorded years ago. Linda Mkhize, who’s famously known as PRO or ProKid, died back in 2018 after a seizure. Years later, and with the release of “iStradi,” it is apparent his legacy still hums.
Until his death, he was one of the respected voices on South Africa’s hip hop orbit and the friend of the bloke who featured him on the song in review. One thing that’s instantly clear is the musical synergy between both rappers.
One course, PRO can no longer join Big Zulu – certainly not from the grave. But it’s just fine to still wish the two can collaborate again. They’re good, as should be obvious from this song.
By the way, the song is part of the lead musician’s “Ichwane Lenyoka” album, which is expected in September. That body of work featured several key figures in South Africa music.
