Well, fans didn’t have to wait long, as the songster has released the song he promised. “Ngimtholile” features Zama Khumalo, who, like Brandon Dhludhlu himself, was a one-time contestant on the reality television show Idols SA. (Zama won the show in its 16th season)

It would have been just another collaboration except that the two artists are collaborators and lovers. They had both aimed for the Idols SA scudetto, but it wasn’t until Zama was announced winner that the world got to know they were dating.

Anyway, as should be apparent from the song, the two also share great musical synergy. Interestingly, they should elect to work together, but then that’s not novel in the world of music. Lovers collaborate now and then. Think Cardi B and Offset, think Nadia Nakai and Vic Mensah…
