The remixing fever continues for South African disc jockey and producer Shimza as he treats fans to a remix of DBN Gogo, Blaqnick, MasterBlaq, Mpura, AmaAvenger, and M.J’s “Khuza Gogo” song.
“Khuza Gogo (Shimza Remix)” bears a noticeable afrotech touch as well as the creative self-assurance apparent in most of DJ Shimza’s projects. The “Dark Caves” maestro did a fine job here, and one an only smile at the creative energy that went into creating his latest drop.
Shimza is no stranger to remixes, having released several of them already. However, in his latest release, he makes it clear he’s confident in his creative powers. “Khuza Gogo (Shimza Remix)” is taken from a 3-track EP of remixes of works of mostly amapiano artists, including DJ Maphorisa, who had once advised other DJs to play amapiano music.
At any rate, we’re confident DBN Gogo and her associates will be thrilled with what Shimza made of a recent work of theirs.
